Thank You, Dr. Gary Barnes
With both thanksgiving and sadness, the Sexual Wholeness Board of Directors announces the resignation of Dr. Gary Barnes as Director of the Institute for Sexual Wholeness.
As Director, Gary was instrumental in relocating the program from Atlanta to Dallas. His vision and expertise in delivering hybrid courses, serving students both online and in person simultaneously, have been invaluable. Gary has provided ISW’s classrooms in his Dallas office building and later facilitated the move to the Dallas Theological Seminary campus. He has served as the key liaison with both Dallas Theological Seminary and Richmont Graduate University, managing course scheduling and spearheading the redesign of the SWI program in 2025. His enthusiastic encouragement and support of both students and faculty have been vital to ISW.
We are blessed that Gary will still serve our community as an SWI Board member and an indispensable connection between DTS and Sexual Wholeness. He will continue to lead the Introduction to Human Sexuality and Sex Therapy course at DTS (the most popular elective course on-campus) and further grow and bless our Dallas courses with his abundant spread of coffee & pastries, meaningful devotions, and life-changing mentoring.
