Life Transitions: Understanding Perimenopause, Menopause, and Beyond

This session will explore the physiological, psychological, and sexual health changes that occur throughout the menopausal transition. Dr. Christiansen will provide evidence-based insights on hormonal and non-hormonal treatment options and the impact of menopause on sexuality and relationships.
Dr. Kris Christiansen a board certified family physician who specializes in sexual medicine. She attended medical school and completed her residency in family medicine at the University of Minnesota Medical School. After practicing full spectrum family medicine for 10 years, she was drawn to the field of sexual medicine and pursued additional training to be able to provide the care for her patients that is so difficult to find. She is passionate about working with individuals and couples and restoring an important part of their life. In her practice, she sees women with sexual problems such as sexual pain, decreased libido, and problems with orgasm. She also works with men who have erectile problems, ejaculation issues, and low testosterone.
She has presented at several local, state, and national medical conferences on a variety of medical topics related to sexual problems and is a contributor for PROSAYLA.
